Hello and welcome! My name is Stephanie Adams, creator of Full Spin Studio, your one stop for Animation, 3D Design, Visual Effects and Post Production. Located in the heart of the lovely and weird Louisville, Kentucky, my collaborators and I strive to offer the best quality motion design to clients locally and nationally. Whether you have a project that just needs some finesse or you need to start from scratch, give me a shout! I’d love to help you see your project to the finish line.
After living in San Francisco and receiving a Bachelor’s of Fine Art from the Academy of Art University there, I traveled around for a while working for animation and effects houses wherever I was living at the time. For eight years I worked on projects for clients such as Cartoon Network, The Weather Channel, The Discovery Network, Jewelry Television, The Military Channel, The Food Network, Animal Planet, Food City, University of Tennessee, Merck Animal Health, and many more. Finally, I decided to move back to Louisville for good. After a few years with an ad agency here I decided to go out on my own and create Full Spin Studio. So, here I am and I have to say I’m loving it! It is a dream come true to be collaborating with new friends and clients to create great work.
My love of animation and effects started right here in Louisville back at the turn of the century with the help of my high school computer arts and video production program. This is where I first had the opportunity to use 3D Studio Max, early versions of Photoshop and After Effects and to learn the traditional methods of graphic design, stop motion animation and video production. My high school program had such an effect on me that I decided to continue on that path when in 2004, I transferred from my local university to the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. There I focused my talents in Animation and Visual Effects and received a Bachelor’s of Fine Art from the school.
While at school I had the chance to work on some great independent films, one of which won a few awards at the Sundance Film Festival. I was pretty proud when I got to watch, “Sleepdealer,” on the big screen at the Kabuki theater in San Francisco and even a little more proud when it became available to watch on Netflix. After leaving school I traveled around for some time. One of my stops was in Knoxville, TN where I had the opportunity to team up with Elastic Pictures and Jupiter Studios to compete in the 24 hour film festival there. I experienced another proud moment when we took the award for best visual effects in our short film “The Daisy Agency.”
After all of this time and many great experiences, I am so happy to be back in Louisville and I am ready to make some more proud moments to remember. Thanks so much for taking the time to check out my site. Cheers!
